Forgot to blog the most important thing... I resigned from my position at RC yesterday! The boss doesn't really even care about the advertising business anymore, just his other "side" companies. I thought it was a good time to go elsewhere before he ended up closing shop and leaving me on the street. I thought long and hard about my options and I was lucky enough to be offered a position at my friend's company. She started her own company in Japan and moved the head office to Edmonton a few years ago. We had talked about working together a few years ago when I unexpectedly bumped into her at another previous dead-end job, but she had just moved her company to Edmonton and was still working out some kinks. After talking and meeting once or twice these past 3 years, she thought it was time to bring me on board and I'm finally going to work with her! Starting on the 16th! Her company has so many opportunities and they're open about everything! But I'm going to have to get reacquainted with the PC though cos they find Macs less stable to work with. Oh wells! I guess I don't have to share my love with another Mac anymore and can just reserve it fully for my Mac at home haha!

But yeah, was totally surprised at how my boss at RC took the news of my resignation. Our "ex" creative director and I thought that he would at least say something about me staying considering his supposed plans in China and Korea, and my background in the languages. Nope. He just asked where I was going and said "I guess that's just how things go!" Just goes to show you how he doesn't care about our side of the business anymore. Oh wells. Everyone supports my move and I'm sure I can learn a lot more and have a lot more opportunities. At least this company already has business in Japan!!
