Commitment Issues? =/

All done with competitions this year! WOO HOO!! I don't think I've ever felt more relieved haha! I can't believe the 2 full competitions I've been to this year have lasted for such long hours!!! AE started at 10:30 am and ended at about 11:30 pm for me, and then Showtime was from 3:30 pm until almost midnight. INTENSE!!! We did pretty well though so I'm happy we ended everything off well! Hexstatic got gold (the highest given in our category was gold... strange thing was that the gold "medal" was pink?) and we also got the award for most outstanding group (woo hoo!) I was a little surprised that the adjudicator thought we danced really well as a group. Truth is, we've always got a few people constantly butting heads with each other... if you can't think as a group, how can you really dance as a group? But the fact that we pull it together when we dance is quite impressive. Imagine how good it'd be if no one butt heads at all! We got high gold for Spoof which was awesome and Kerry won best choreography. She said she'd never seen us dance so well before ^^! People have always said that our popping section was good cos we hit hard but we'd never seen it before. Stacey watched it and apparently it DOES look awesome. I really want to see it now! Then there was Jake's Rhythm N' Gryme... we got silver at AE (which actually was wrong... according to our mark we got gold!) but high gold at Showtime baby! WOO HOO!!! But of course, we still looked unconfident and hesitant while dancing. The boy's group, Heroes, was good like always! Carlo pulled out a FULL split on stage!! It was CRAZY! He didn't expect it either! He was saying on Sunday how he just went for it and when he felt his crotch touch the ground he was like "oh..." HAHA! So yeah, that's the skinny on the final comp this year.

Sunday was like the usual "after competitions" day. Harman was stuck in traffic so he couldn't teach us. Instead, Carlo taught us a new "style" that was "created about a month ago at the studio" called BOF (Be Our Friends). It was HILARIOUS! Basically you have 4 quite snapshot poses and then you hold 2 poses for an 8 count, clap like you have really long fingers while walking forward for 12 counts, shimmy down, shimmy up and then START! Each person thinks of a move that's supposed to last for 8 counts and then it's strung together, so basically it's a collaborative combo (get it? friends helping each other? haha!) BUT the move has to be outside of the box and the idea is people want to be our friends. It's always done to the same song too lol! Carlo's other class created DBOF... Don't Be Our Friends haha! Doing show and tell with it was a little embarassing but I think the most fun we'd ever had. Everyone was so into it and everyone watching just went wild! I don't know if I'd ever be able to do something like that again though!
Kerry's class we learned the Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes routine the Flygirls do and then freestyled at the end (which I still can't do!) I left before Jake's class so that I could go to 노래방 to help celebrate BonBon's belated birthday! So much fun! ^^

So now the question is what am I doing next year? I joined Animation class again cos Stacey said she'd kick my ass if I didn't haha! Plus I promised her I'd at least try out for Company... she's got faith in me so I can't let that go to waste! I think I've figured out this "5 year curse" thing... I think it's more a commitment issue than anything! After 5 years I'm pretty much committed to something and it scares me cos I don't know what to do with it! I don't know what direction I'm taking or where I'm going with anything still so this uncertainty doesn't play well with my mind I guess. I don't know anymore *sigh*
