I knew there was a reason why I never liked American Apparel! Who would have thought they'd stoop as low as to steal another artist's ideas and style for their own commercial use? And not only did they steal from just anyone, they stole from the famous photographer Yonehara Yasumasa. Did the CEO of AA not think that anyone would notice? That Yonehara himself wouldn't find it suspicious when he bought EVERYTHING he was selling at an exhibition? Although Yonehara's subject matter doesn't quite appeal to me, I still think his works are great and are brilliantly taken for their purpose. It just erks me how people think it's ok to rip someone's hardwork off, and which is also the only real thing left that makes us unique in our own ways: creativity. Being in this field has sadly shown me that 90% of the business people out there are like that and it's starting to be uninspiring and unrewarding to go this route. How shitty.
